With the cats it was no different than with the dogs and Indonesia: "love at first sight".

I was looking for something other than the horses. This era has come to an end. I no longer ride a horse, but I wanted to have something else for the horses in their place, where I could also put my hobby “breeding” into.

Actually my husband Gert is more of a cat man than a dog man. So I wanted to meet him too, hoping to get "full" support. Well he did and I have more than caught up with him with the love for the breed "the Bengal".

I found it difficult to make a good plan with all those colors (I was not used to that with the WHITE shepherd) not to become greedy, because once you are in love you would prefer to have all the colors. But for now we have a plan and we try to stick to it.

We are going to focus on the snow (lynx, mink and sepia) and on the silver.

Of course Gucci (kucing principessa pl) a brown spotted tabby will stay with us as well, she was our first purchase and will have a litter from her too, but we will not concentrate on that for the time being.

I may have been involved in dog breeding for over thirty years, but breeding cats requires a lot of adjustments in and around the house and not everything is the same.

But our position remains that the cats should have a good time with us. And health is paramount. Whatever will give us good healthy and happy kittens we hope, just like our dogs.

They can roam freely in and around the house.

Both inside and outside we have specially designed spaces for them where they can relax, lie comfortably warm or race after each other.

In the enclosed outdoor run of 50 m2 with trees and play attributes where they can spend more than their energy, so that they do not hang in the curtains in our own living space.

There are also running wheels in the rooms that are used by one or the other all day long. We can separate the males from the females if necessary, so that the chance of an oops litter can be avoided. And the rest for the mother and kittens if there is a litter.

We also feed our cats and kittens fresh meat just like our dogs and we go back to nature, which benefits the health of our animals. However, it is also necessary here to adapt because a cat is really pickier than a dog, but that also worked out well and we will inform our future kitten owners and we hope that they will follow our example.

We will also continue our policy on vaccination. Of course we are not against vaccination, but at the right time and not unnecessarily.

We titrate all our animals and only vaccinate as soon as necessary and the antibodies are no longer present.

That is less stressful for the body that is still so small, which still has to build up an immune system and is given the opportunity to do so. Without unnecessary chemicals in the body.

Our experience is that it is better to go to a certified vet. Otherwise you run the risk of receiving wrong results or advice.
